Cancellation Policy: A cancellation fee of 100% applies if less than 48 hours’ (clear business days) notice is provided. For example, an appointment scheduled for 8:30am Monday must be cancelled before 8:30am on the preceding Thursday, with adjustments made if public holidays fall within this period.


About Us

Donna Fallon (Director and Senior Physiotherapist) has over 15 years physiotherapy experience with previous roles including Senior Physiotherapist (Paediatrics) within Queensland Health. This paediatric experience includes almost all areas from the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and special care nursery (SCN), paediatric ward, outpatients, acute and subacute as well as working within the community at the Child Development Service.

 

Physiotherapy for self and plan managed NDIS / ECEI participants available. 

EPC (Medicare) and HICAPS available on request (Gap payment applies)

All bookings by appointment only - no walk ins.

AHA - Allied Health Assistant Services on request. 

Cairns - clinic appointments, aquatic physiotherapy at Woree and Tobruk pools for eligible clients.

  • Assessment allows your child’s current developmental level to be  measured. Capturing areas that are developing well, along with areas  that would benefit from input. 
  • Assessment and therapy is available for all ages to children with developmental delays with or without diagnosis or disability.

  •  If you have concerns about how your child’s feet are positioned at rest or with walking, we can provide assessment and input ideas.  Musculoskeletal and sensory contribution to walking patterns such toe walking and in-toeing are considered.

  • We provide education and demonstration of handling techniques to encourage and support your infant’s growth and development. Examples  include ways to hold/position your child to improve head control. 
  • Monitoring of any asymmetries of movement such as head turn preference
  • Assessment and input for conditions such as positional plagiocephaly

  • Gross motor relates to how the larger muscle groups of the body move and development. For children, gross motor skills include tasks such as tummy time, sitting, rolling, crawling, walking, running, climbing,  jumping, skipping, hopping. 
  • Assessment of gross motor skills allowing calculation of level of  ‘delay’ 
  • Provide therapy ideas and i

  • Report writing where possible to refer to services such as the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme)

  •  Low tone (“floppy”) muscles and increased tone (“stiff”) muscles can impact on a child’s ability to learn and development. This can result in gross motor skill delays.
  • Assessment and therapy regarding muscle tone can include positioning, strengthening, stretching and hydrotherapy ideas.

  •  Children that appear ‘clumsy’ when catching a ball or running for example, may have difficulties with balance and postural control, motor planning, strength and body awareness. They could have DCD  (Developmental coordination disorder). We provide assessment  and input to assist with improving skills in these areas.
